Lenzitopsis oxycedri, a white rot basidiomycete, is reported in Algeria for the first time, collected in the protected reserve of Zeralda, near Algiers, on living Cupressus sempervirens, a previously unrecorded host. More than 50 years after the original description of the species (from a Moroccan specimen), this is the second report from North Africa.
