Description
The epidemiological and mycological aspects of an epizootic of dermatophytosis in poultry, caused by Trichophyton simii are described. Seventy birds from 270 in a poultry farm in Delhi were involved. Infection due to T. simii was also observed in an attendant handling the infected birds. Sporadic cases of T. simii infection involving 15 birds were also detected in 4 other poultry farms, 2 in Delhi and 1 each in the neighbouring States of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. © 1973 Informa UK Ltd All rights reserved: reproduction in whole or part not permitted.
