Effect of human growth hormone in kwashiorkor and marasmus

Human growth hormone 0.2 mg./kg. produced no significant metabolic effect in children with kwashiorkor or marasmus when given during the second week of dietary rehabilitation. A larger dose failed to mobilize free fatty acids before dietary treatment began.
