SHINING A SPOTLIGHT ON AFRICAN RESEARCH

An empirical investigation of trans-oceanic linkages between areas of high abundance of sardine

Long-term variability of pelagic fish populations and their environment. Proc. international symposium, Sendai, 1989, Year 1991

Significant correlations between the Californian, Humboldt and Japanese systems support the hypothesis that sardines (Sardinops) in these regions are influenced simultaneously by climate operating on a wide scale. There is indication that the same climate may influence sardines in the NW Atlantic. -from Authors
