The genetics of hand malformations

Volume XIV, 3 of the Birth Defects: Original Article Series (The National Foundation - March of Dimes) is dedicated to the genetics of hand malformation. In 12 chapters the following topics are dealt with: a survey of hand malformations, absence deformities, brachydactyly, syndactyly, polydactyly, contracture deformities of digits, arachnodactyly, symphalangism, macrodactyly, and malformations associated with congenital ring constrictions. Moreover, various syndromes with miscellaneous hand malformations, e.g., OFD type I syndrome, Coffin-Lowry syndrome, Smith-Lemli-Opitz syndrome, are presented.
