Analysis of perceived career barriers among togolese college students

The purposes of this study were to identify the main perceived career barriers and to compare them regarding to the subjective level of academic achievement among Togolese college students. A sample consisted of 223 participants ranked nine categories of perceived barriers from the most restrictive to the less restrictive. Results showed that financial difficulties and university study conditions were the main perceived barriers. Moreover, subjective level of academic achievement impacted the hierarchization of these barriers. Implication of these results on students’ support in Togo was discussed.
