This study investigated the equivalence of the Rey-Osterrieth and Taylor forms of the Complex Figure Test (CFT). Forty healthy subjects, equivalent for age, Full Scale IQ, and handedness, were randomly assigned to either the Rey-Osterrieth or Taylor condition. Although results show that the two figures are comparable tasks of copy accuracy (p = .187), significantly higher recall accuracy scores were produced by subjects in the Taylor Condition (p < .001). The Taylor group also differed significantly on copy organizational quality scores (p < .01), although copy time was longer for the Rey-Osterrieth condition (p < .05).
