Description
A patient with striking susceptibility to infection by pyogenic organisms was found to have 1/1000th or less of the normal serum concentration of C3. Investigation of members of her family revealed many individuals, including her mother and father, with C3 levels approximately half-normal, and it seems that she is homozygous for C3 deficiency. © 1972.
