Eight patients underwent vaginal cesarean section using the Duhrssen technique as modified by Schauta. Fetal death in utero followed by failed induction of labor and/or clotting disturbances was the indication in six patients and was also found to be the most common indication in the literature. The only complication was a urinary bladder tear extending to the urethra.
