Description
The pyrolysis of Timahdit oil shale has been studied by thermogravimetry and by dilatometry. The material undergoes contraction depending on the direction of measurement relative to that of the shale bedding. The contraction is greater in the direction perpendicular to the shale bedding compared with the direction parallel to it. © 1989.
