Endemic to the Middle East, brucellosis is an infectious disease caused by Brucella melitensis or other gram-negative Brucella coccobacilli. The disease usually is spread to humans from cattle or sheep through consumption of unpasteurized dairy products or by direct contact. The authors report the findings of bone scintigraphy and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in a patient with multifocal brucellosis spondylodiscitis.
