Introduction to immunity

Our bodies are to microbes what ‘hunny’ is to Pooh Bear: irresistible. We are protected from the relentless efforts of microorganisms to colonise our tissues by our immune system. In simple terms, Dr Do-a-Lot describes the immune system and how it works to her students. She does this by using pictures and a potentially dangerous degree of poetic licence.
