Description
The in vitro apical seal obtained by postresection filling with heat-sealed gutta-percha alone and when reinforced with 16 retrofilling materials was evaluated qualitatively by SEM and quantitatively by a dye penetration technique. The results indicated that heat-sealed gutta-percha alone and when reinforced with a composite dental resin (Adaptic) or a glass ionomer cement (ASPA) provided the most effective apical seal. © 1982.
