The absolute differential cross-sections for the elastic scattering of protons from19F have been measured for proton bombarding energies between 2 and 3.4 MeV at the centre-of-mass angles of 68.17°, 97.97°, 125.20°, 150.10° and 162.10°. The experimental data have been analysed in the framework of the R-matrix theory and resonance parameters are derived. Two narrow d-wave resonances have been observed at E p=2.763 and 2.970 MeV which are associated to T=1 states in20Ne. An examination of available results concerning the19F(p, p) and19F(d, p) reactions indicates that the analogues of some20F states between 3.48 and 6.02 MeV excitation energies can be identified in20Ne from19F(p, p) elastic scattering. It is found that the analogue relationship S dp=S pp is satisfied to within 30% for all the observed pairs of states, except for the pair involving the20F state at E x=3.526 MeV. © 1986 Società Italiana di Fisica.
