Liver trauma in surgery (CHU Gabriel Touré)

Abstract: Our objectives were to determine the frequency, describe the diagnostic aspects and the factors of gravity. This was a retrospective study from January 1999 to December 2010 CHU Gabriel Touré including all patients admitted for liver trauma.We collected 52 cases or 8.5% of abdominal trauma. The mean age was 25.7 ± 13.4 years, sex ratio = 2.7. The average admission time was 1.6 ± 2.9 hours. Accidents highway (AVP) were involved in 69.23%. The average hospital stay was 6.19 ± 8.23 days and mortality 15.4% (n = 8).
