Description
The decay of 144Pm was investigated by scintillation and coincidence techniques (well-type crystal, normal and sum coincidence and pile-up elimination) and by a coaxial Ge(Li) detector with special attention to the presence of higher levels of 144Nd. It was found that levels higher (2129.6 and 2235 keV) than 1.78 MeV are also present in the decay of 144Pm. The energy and intensity of all gamma rays in the decay of 144Pm was measured. The total disintegration energy of the 144Pm-144Nd decay is larger than 2235 keV and smaller than 2635 keV. © 1967.
