Description
A case of traditional female circumcision in pregnancy is presented. The case is complicated by severe haemorrhage, genital infection and prematurity with the delivery of a fresh stillbirth. This presentation highlights the importance of the need to discourage this hazardous, age‐longed cultural practice, through health education of the community. © 1986 Japanese Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology
