Description
123-I-labeled serum amyloid P component (SAP) scintigraphy was performed in 23 patients with proved amyloïdosis and in 10 normal subjects. We conclude that SAP scintigraphy would be helpful to evaluate organ involvement, not only in patients with biopsy-proven amyloïdosis, but mainly when a strong suspicion of amyloïdosis is found in spire of repeated negative biopsy. © 1992.
