Association between maternal iron and vitamin d with risky development of autistic children

Autism is one of neurodevelopmental disorders that shows increase in prevalence for last two decades. It was noticed many risk factors associated with development of autism. here in our study. we were focusing about mothers risk factors that predisposing to get children with autism. we selected mothers that have autistic children and measured serum levels of maternal iron and vitamin D. It was found that iron and Vitamin D levels were decrease among mothers with autistic children. Additionally, more reduction in iron and vitamin D levels associated with severity of autism.
