The effect of Concentration of Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide on the Gelation Characteristics and Shrinkage Properties of Orthophthalate Resin has been studied: Activation energy for gelation at different concentration of MEKP has been calculated. Mechanism of gelation and a Kinetic rate equation have been proposed to explain the possible reasons for the variation of above properties of resin with concentration of catalyst.
