We introduce the variational calculus on q-nonuniform lattices. In particular, we discuss the basic concepts such as the Euler-Lagrange equation and its applications to the isoperimetric, the Lagrange and the optimal control problems on q-nonuniform lattices. © 2004 Elsevier Inc.
