Description
The properties of excited states in 48Sc were studied using the 48Ca(p, nγ)48Sc reaction. The decay scheme of 48Sc up to 3.16 MeV was determined from γ-ray excitation functions for incident proton energies between 2.6 and 3.9 MeV. Level spins and mixing ratios were assigned by comparing the measured γ-ray angular distributions with the predictions of the statistical compound-nuclear model. © 1971.
